“Once in a lifetime: treasures from Florentine archives and libraries”
Temporary exhibition at the Sala Bianca at the Palatine Gallery (Pitti Palace, Florence)

Three archival documents by Michelangelo, a drawing by Raphael, the baptismal certificate of Leonardo da Vinci and other documents that bear marginal notes, a written lesson of Galileo on Dante’s Hell; works by Mantegna, Alessandro Allori and Giovanni Stradano, autographs of Girolamo Savonarola, Cosimo I Medici and other Italian poets. The aim of the exhibition is to give everyone the opportunity to admire some of the best kept paper treasures of the city. Among the works will be showcased a sketch by Michelangelo Buonarroti dating back to the XVI century (from Firenze, Archivio e Biblioteca della Fondazione Casa Buonarroti).
