Florence’s highlights

Florence is a city simply bursting with art and history. It would take at least a week to explore it all, but for travelers with limited time the best idea is to enjoy the pleasure of a walk through the streets and quaint corners of Florence with a native guide.  You will not miss the most important attractions and the best spots frequented only by locals. Maximize your time on a walk that makes everything more enjoyable, personal and interesting!

The top sites for a perfect glorious day in Florence are: Piazza Santa Croce artisan studios, Piazza della Repubblica & the best gelato in town, Santa Maria Novella and the oldest pharmacy in town, incomparable Renaissance artworks, Michelangelo’s David at the Accademia Gallery, Ponte Vecchio & off the beaten paths.

Suggested Half Day Itinerary

Length: up to 3-5 hours (depending on the selected itinerary). Meeting point: at the lobby of your hotel if located in the downtown Florence (or any other convenient spot upon request) Main sites and content: each itinerary is custom made according to guest’s accommodation.

The walk can include Piazza Santa Maria Novella and the oldest Apothekary of Florence,  Duomo square (Cathedral, Baptistry and Giotto’s belltower overview. Access into the cathedral is never guaranteed due to the long security procedures), San Lorenzo & the Medicis,  open air markets, Dante’s district, Piazza della Repubblica, enchanted alleys, hints for delicious food & wine, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi Courtyard, arts & crafts laboratories. (Optional: upon request the itinerary can include a stop at local authentic Florentine leather specialist or goldsmith studio, entrance to Accademia, Medici Chapels or Palazzo Vecchio).

    Hi
Read about your tour in Rick Steves book. My partner is turning 50 and his top bucket list is to experience Florence. I would love to book a tour for the 2 of us in September.

What tour would you recommend? Number of hours? And cost?
    Thank you!
